As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen Dubai’s position as a global leader in property technology, and in line with the Dubai Real Estate Sector Strategy 2033, Dubai Land Department (DLD) launched the pilot phase of the ‘Real Estate Tokenisation Project.’ This initiative, introduced under the Real Estate Innovation Initiative ‘REES,’ establishes DLD as the first real estate registration entity in the Middle East to implement tokenisation on property title deeds. The project is being implemented in collaboration with the Dubai Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) and Dubai Future Foundation (DFF) through Sandbox Dubai.

Dubai Future Foundation (DFF) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Artificial Intelligence Center Hamburg (ARIC), marking the first collaboration that Sandbox Dubai has entered with a foreign partner.

Dubai Future Foundation has partnered with Emirates Airline, Amazon, Careem, and GEMS Education to expand its Gig Economy Sandbox initiative. The project aims to develop regulations supporting seasonal employment across key sectors including retail, hospitality, tourism, and education, enhancing Dubai's economic competitiveness while providing worker flexibility.

Dubai Future Foundation has launched two new initiatives under Sandbox Dubai: the Gig Economy and PropTech Sandboxes. Approved by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, this platform aims to modernize regulations and test innovative solutions. The initiative supports Dubai's Economic Agenda (D33) to double the emirate's economy and promote future-ready sectors.

"Sandbox Dubai" supports innovative experiments and assists government entities in enacting legislation that aligns with future trends. More than 100 companies will be supported in the first phase. "Sandbox Dubai" will cover four sectors: artificial intelligence, technology-based healthcare, environmental technology, and real estate technology.
